WATCH ME WHEN I KILL // DARKCOAST
When Mara goes to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, she winds up with a dose of ultimate terror and fear for all those around her.

Los Angeles, CA – October 9, 2018 – TriCoast Entertainment’s horror division, DarkCoast, will be releasing the classic Italian giallo film ‘WATCH ME WHEN I KILL’ (aka Il gatto dagli occhi di giada, The Cat With The Jade Eyes) this October onto digital streaming platforms – just as the ghosts and creepy shadows cave in for the approaching Halloween night.

Italian horror-legend, Antonio Bido’s directorial debut, (Blue Tornado, Bloodstained Shadow), WATCH ME WHEN I KILL is a satisfactorily gruesome, cult status horror from the 1970s following the murder-mystery of a pharmacist (Giovanni Vannini) whose killer flees and is witnessed by a local nightclub dancer, Mara (Paola Tedesco). Intrigued by “what she may know”, Mara becomes tangled within the mysterious web of growing secrets, murder and ultimate chaos, but soon discovers the killer’s personal intrigue when he begins to stalk and creep alongside her within the dark shadows. With help from her boyfriend (Corrado Pani), will the two be able to unmask the killer before his next murder victim is Mara?

“The nods to Hitchcock and Argento are fairly blatant, but done as homage rather than theft so they add to the film rather than detract from it […] Watch Me When I Kill is still a suspenseful and involving thriller,” wrote MyReviewer.

Written in collaboration of iconic horror experts – Antonio Bido, Roberto Natale, Vittorio Schiraldi (screenplay and story), and Aldo Serio – the Italian horror was originally released in Italy during August 1977 as Il gatto dagli occhi di giada prior to the film’s USA premiere in September 1982 as Watch Me When I Kill. Also known around the world as The Cat With The Jade Eyesand The Cat’s Victims, Antonio Bido’s film is composed of “nice camera work that does a good job of making the urban settings fairly claustrophobic,” continued Rock! Shop Pop!, adding that simultaneously, “when the film switches locations to the more rural settings the visuals are opened to nice effect, providing some interesting visual contrast.”

No killing is as ordinary as it first appears to be – the mystery of the killer’s identity is shocking, but more so are his motive behind his murder-spree. WATCH ME WHEN I KILL “is worth seeing for some of its standout moments and its absolutely killer score,” raved Rock! Shop! Pop!

DarkCoast will exclusively release WATCH ME WHEN I KILL on digital streaming platforms beginning October 9th (Hoopla, DISH, FlixFling, Vimeo on Demand, Google Play, FANDANGO, Sling).
