Multi award winning pianist Karen Salicath Jamali is set to play at the Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital, on Sunday, April 21st. Taking to the stage, she will perform her own composition “Blue Ridge” she is a winner of The American Protégé International Composition for Piano and String music 2019.

No stranger to this prestigious venue, Karen Salicath Jamali performed twice at Carnegie Hall back in December, where she scooped second place in American Protégé International Competition New Talent 2018 and also she was a winner of American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2018, whit her own composition “Rainbow Angel”.

Now, the American composer has won the American Protégé International competition for Piano & String Music 2019, along with winning ‘New Talent’ 2019 with her now composition “Angel Rising” and “Blue Ridge” and will be playing again same place to December 2019.

For many composers, having the chance to perform at Carnegie Hall would be a life-long dream – never mind being able to perform their own piece. It is reported that there isn’t a clear recollection of when an artist performed their own composition at the venue.

She is a celebrity artist with a Master degree in fine Arts from Denmark. Currently living in New York. She has been in the profession for the last three decades. Her drawn artwork is featured in Gallery’s and Museums across the world, including the Louvre Museum in Paris, she first got recognized for her paintings and sculptures. Karen Jamali has been honored for her artworks with Awards like Golden palm awards, the Leonardo da Vinci prize, and many others.

It wasn’t until Karen established herself in New York, when her career also took off as an award winning composer and pianist.

Karen never played the piano before, until 4 years ago a life threatening accident in 2012 left her with brain injuries. After a long recovery, she was suddenly drawn into the world of music and gained the unexpected gift of being able to play the piano – Something she couldn’t do before the accident – She is the human embodiment of music and of the term “Everything happens for reason.” now resulting in 6 beautiful Albums & 2000+ music compositions and a new Album coming soon.
