Pablo J Ruiz Vargas is a Puerto Rican-American professional pianist based in Brooklyn. His piano studies started at the age 18 back in 2006 in San German, Puerto Rico, during his Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Piano.
The composition experience started with solo performances, choir accompaniments, and as an orchestra soloist, which were initiated with success during his early career. After ending his degree, Vargas pursued a Masters in Music performance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Currently working on his YouTube Channel “PJ Alpha Music” he makes, since 2015, videos related to electronic works music compositions, musical arrangements, and traditional classical music. His first album “Piano and Violin” released the last November the 24th, with three breathtaking sonatas, is a delight for classical music lovers and an example of his dedicated studies.

A diversity of influences in art is part of Vargas background: from the Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin through contemporaries’ artists such as Glenn Gould, Arthur Rubinstein, Zimmerman and Valentina Lisitsa.
His next spring rehearsal in Brooklyn at Scholes Street studio will features Jaime Rivera – a flutist and composer, who has been immersed into the musical practice for classical music performance. Rivera has been experimenting various ways of expression added to the classical field like: jazz, improvisation, study of musical aesthetics and beginning his organization The Art of Listening, a program that aims to promote a deeper perspective of music as a cognitive enhancing tool.
The rehearsal repertoire is unique and rarely played in public. It goes from the late classical, romantic and modern era giving diversity to the selection. Also, the compositions are made with good balance between the piano and the flute making this repertoire a great collection of masterpieces from composers such as Kuhlau, Reinecke, and Boch.
