PATSY BROWN, LAS VEGAS CITY COUNCIL WARD 2 CANDIDATE, ANNOUNCES COMMITMENT TO SCHOOL SAFETY
LAS VEGAS – May 9, 2019 – Las Vegas City Council Ward 2 Candidate Patsy Brown announces commitment to school safety. If elected, Brown says she will introduce Patsy’s Bill, mandatory measures for immunizations and mental health screenings in Ward 2 public schools.
“I love where I live, and I worked very hard to be here. I feel that for some reason the sun just seems to shine just a little brighter over Summerlin, it truly is a piece of heaven on earth and I would be honored to represent my community,” says Brown. “But as a mother of two children attending schools in Summerlin, I worry about the health and safety of my children each and every day. We should not have to be afraid to send our children to school.”
If elected, Brown will introduce Patsy’s Bill so that parents, teachers, and children can focus on the education of the next generation of Las Vegas. Brown says “My campaign is about talking about the uncomfortable topics: immunizations and mental health so that we can find solutions and prevent outbreaks and school tragedies.”
