Mrdotlegend changing the rap game with the release of “Warlock”
Hardcore Maryland rapper, Mrdotlegend, offers an inside look into the streets of Baltimore with the release of his latest project “Warlock”
Baltimore-based talented rapper, Mrdotlegend, has again shown his creativity and ingenuity to the world as he releases “Warlock.” The work is another masterpiece from the talented entertainer as he looks to continue in his pursuit of bringing back the seemingly lost glory of rap music. The new album has been described as an inside look into the streets of Baltimore Md., including stories of the gloomy curse stricken town Bmore Murdaland.
The music world has undergone a series of evolutions over the years with several stakeholders contributing their quota to the development of the industry. One of the music genres that have remained relevant over the years thanks to its unique mix of entertainment and message-filled lyrics is rap. The rap culture has grown over the years due to the influx of different talented minds. Unfortunately, the true essence of rap music – passing thought-provoking messages in a subtle way, seems to have depleted in recent times. This is where Mrdotlegend is looking to make a huge difference.
Before the release of “Warlock,” Mrdotlegend has dropped several other works including the popular “Nothin 2 Loose.” Unlike many other musicians, Mrdotlegend established himself as a solo artist with over a dozen mixtapes and some the public are yet to hear as he releases them strategically.
Growing up with his mother in a single-parent household on the east side of Baltimore, Mrdotlegend drew his early inspiration from the likes of Three 6 Mafia and other hardcore rappers. At the age of 13, he began composing lyrics for songs and count bars accurately. One can rightly say that Mrdotlegend has music in his DNA, performing in his school’s talent show at the age of 17. He dedicated his performance to his late brother, Antonio Gerrod Allen, who died that very year.
Over the years, Mrdotlegend has constantly shown the world his talent. The amazing rapper dropped his debut made his album debut in 2016 after releasing over a dozen underground mixtapes, many of them featuring well-known affiliates Urban5.
Mrdotlegend pours his life experience into every line drops, which includes surviving being twice; once in the face and once in the hand, with a sawed-off shotgun. “Getting shot only made me stronger and made me look at life differently”, says Mrdotlegend.
