RealtimeCampaign.com is Helping to Move Today\'s Medicine Forward with PMBC Cell Usage

In the world of medicine, the most important tools are often technology based. Where that is true, RealtimeCampaign.com provides the competitive edge needed by most medical practitioners and clinics.  In the past two decades, there has been no area of advancement that has affected every industry in the same capacity as technology. In almost all sectors of business, technology has changed the way people communicate, market, keep records, produce, design and sell. In fact, the vast majority of the technology-based tools we have today were not available just twenty years ago.

Biology and Pathology are just two of the few medical fields that thrived because of technology’s advancements. More and more things have been discovered about these cells. With new knowledge and acquired medical equipment, PMBC Cells are now used in a lot of things.

What Is Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell or PBMC?

PBMC is a peripheral blood cell that is known for its round nucleus characteristics. Examples of these cells are the lymphocytes which are known as T Cells, B Cells, and NK Cells. Another example of PBMCs is monocytes and granulocytes. All of these cells are extracted from the blood using a hydrophilic polysaccharide to separate each blood components.

Healthy PBMCs are widely used in research in the fields of immunology and infectious diseases. What makes it essential, yet sustainable is because these cells are usually made available immediately. Per donor, 6-10 billions of these cells can be extracted and are cryopreserved, making it possible to buy PBMCs readily unless looking for a specific kind. These cells have a lot of variety which is based on demographics.

It Is Associated With Bone Health

According to this study that appeared in LWW Journals, the PBMC count is significantly associated with bone loss. The increased count of PMNC count might be positively related to high impact bone diseases such as psoriatic arthritis. More research is needed in order to verify PBMC’s association with bone health, but according to the study, PBMC population might be an important indicator for bone health.

Used In Drug Development

PBMCs are usually used in research that is related to drug development because it can represent a spectrum of human genotypes, and because of such, can provide superior assay development. An example of this is when PBMCs infected with tuberculosis bacteria were exposed to RNAi or RNA interference. This enables the identification of HDTs, or host-directed therapeutics, that increased resistance to infection.

Used To Detect Changes In HIV Cases

According to this study that appeared in NCBI, the progression of an HIV infection can be monitored by monitoring the number of PBMCs that harbors HIV sequences. This helps in detecting how fast an HIV case is progressing into AIDS. This helps in determining the severity of the disease and how the corresponding treatment will be made.

IPF Prognosis Prediction

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, or IPF, is a very unpredictable disease because the demographic can affect its rate of progression. There is no definite source of the disease. According to this study, PBMCs such as Monocytes may predict IPF prognosis that can help in the treatment of the disease. Because of its unpredictable nature, PBMC monitoring is an important part of treating IPF.

With more research, it is expected that PBMCs will have more uses in the future. Because of its importance in immunology, it might even be the future cure for immuno-related diseases such as AIDS. Hopefully, with the advantage of technology, more use for these cells will be discovered.
