KEVIN BREWERTON IN ACTION-THRILLER ‘THE DARK SOUL’ SLAMS ONTO VOD PLATFORMS NEXT WEEK

Produced by JN Productions, THE DARK SOUL stars world-famous kickboxing champion, Kevin Brewerton (The Fifth Element, Metamorphosis, Hackers) and Shaw Bros. legend, Lo Mang (Ip Man 2–3, Hard Boiled, The Grandmaster). Following a mysterious American soldier, James Chandler (Kevin Brewerton), who embarkson a dangerous journey to the dark side of Asia in search for a missing person, THE DARK SOUL “keeps us on the edge, with each clue offering up a new mystery it keeps us wanting to know just where the answers are going to lay,” wrote Movies Review 101.
Compelled to solve the crime, Chandler teams up with local, Dickson Lee (Ye Lang-xing), to help him navigate the city’s mean streets to the dark heart of his visions to find the missing man. Forming an unlikely friendship, the two men embark into the dangerous world of an international organ smuggling syndicate, where they find themselves drawn into the maneuverings of lovely, yet lethal and controlling crime boss, Diana Zhou (Bianca Stam). Exploding into an ultimate showdown of blades, fists and feet, the men must rely on their strength and courage to solve the mystery, uncover wrongful deaths and finally deliver the criminals to justice.
“The story can be broken down to a investigation story, which is interesting to see where each clue does lead Chandler. Seeing both sides of the law being the clues also adds to the story, we get certain character traits which feel fresher than we are used to seeing in this style of film,” continued Movies Review 101.
