Their team has been specializing in services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for more than 25 years and it now aims at revolutionizing the way sign language is utilized by accessing qualified interpreters through video.

“We are bringing some excellent collaboration opportunities for the companies that use these interpreting services and we are very excited to work with the deaf community,” said Joni Horn, the Owner and CEO of ACA Video Remote Interpreting. “We will be operating nationwide offering medical, legal, educational and other professional services in a cost-effective way.” She added.

According to the CEO, Ms. Horn, the services offered by the company complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act, which requires companies to pay for these services for deaf individuals. The remote video interpreting sessions are also secure and HIPAA compliant. The VRI (video remote interpreting) is a remarkable delivery method that can play a major role in improving the lives of countless deaf individuals.  Moreover, these nationwide ASL services by the company will create new opportunities healthcare providers to give equal access to deaf and hard of hearing individuals even in remote locations where there are no certified ASL interpreters.

Joni has been interpreting for more than 30 years and acquired an agency in Arizona called Arizona Freelance Interpreting Services (AZFLIS) in 2005.

In addition to providing ASL video remote interpreting service, the company will also put into practice, a ‘Local First’ policy regarding VRI Interpretation. This means that ACA will give the topmost priority to the local interpreters so that deaf consumers are connected with familiar faces. According to the CEO, the company aims at creating trust and comfort among all the deaf communities nationwide and hopes to make a difference in the deaf community at large.

“We have used other sign language video remote interpreting companies before, but the ACA’s cloud-based solution just simply works the best for us,” said Harry, a dental practitioner from Chicago in his testimonial. Besides Harry, several other clients have shared their phenomenal reviews and testimonials regarding the company.
