The Church I Couldn\'t Find: How a First-Century Church May Look in the Twenty-First Century by Charles Alexander - the Praxis of Church through Time

June 6, 2019 – Church is a community in desperate need of a shocking renovation by the Spirit: The Church I Couldn’t Find: How a First-Century Church May look in the Twenty-First Century by Charles Alexander offers some provable, workable and practical insights on how it can be done. The restoration of certain, abandoned, first century principles, are essential. Alexander previously authored a major book titled, Time and the Biblical Bang. It uses modern physics to show how God works as the master of time, in answer to questions often ignored in present church institutions. The Church I Couldn’t Find is a sequel for those who want to get practical! The ‘hows’ are all there!

God has used Charles Alexander in the building of 3 new churches – and in this book, the fundamentals of church planting with the essentials of first-century praxis is expounded. The reasons why most churches aren’t sufficiently authentic, (tradition-wise) is put forward- along with how that can be changed. It is is eloquently described. In this book, Alexander says, “the focus shouldn’t be on the edifice, but the creation of committed disciples.”

When asked about The Church I Couldn’t Find: How a First-Century Church May Look in the Twenty-First Century, Charles Alexander said, “This book is shorter but provides easy to read, and also the praxis required for objectives of Time and the Biblical Bang.” As for the reason why this book is in a league of its own, the author quipped, “This book stands out because church clergy lose their hierarchical status.”

Charles Alexander’s favorite quote is, “The gospel of Jesus Christ never changes, but its methodology must.” The author believes that this book may be in the vanguard of a second reformation by how, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the first century got it right!
