In the restaurant world, the most important tools are often technology based. Where that is true, RealtimeCampaign.com provides the competitive edge needed by most restaurants.  In the past two decades, there has been no area of advancement that has affected every industry in the same capacity as technology. In almost all sectors of business, technology has changed the way people communicate, market, keep records, produce, design and sell. In fact, the vast majority of the technology-based tools we have today were not available just twenty years ago.

Plenty of our customers enjoy playing on their phones while they wait, so I figured it might be time to implement some new technology savvy strategies. My plan is to give people what they want by giving our customers the option to enter their orders on digital screens rather than talking to a server. This method gives our customers the entire menu selection without the pressure of talking to a person about their order. The option to have a person come to their table will still be there, but this new way of ordering will be our standard throughout the restaurant.

Our business has been thriving, so we have the extra collateral to invest in upgrading the way in which we do business. The old paper menus we have been using have done their job up until this point, but I want to invest in this new alternative as a means of keeping up with the growing sensations of new technology. People enjoy playing on their smartphones, so I’m assuming they’ll enjoy playing around with the interactive displays we’re going to put in our restaurant. These displays will have the entire menu, and there’s going to be a few extra things to keep customers entertained as well.

We provide a service by cooking an excellent meal for people, and our restaurant has an atmosphere that people seem to enjoy. We have great reviews for our food, and our servers get compliments for their behavior. I am not trying to replace our staff with these new machines. The staff will still receive payment and tips for what items customers order, but our waitstaff will have less trouble to deal with when customers order (using electronic screens). I was thrilled when I found out about this new technology. I’m pitching it to my partners tomorrow. I’m so excited about this upgrade; I think interactive displays are set to explode in restaurants in the next few years. They’re gaining popularity all over the country, and I think they’re going to revolutionize the way in which customers order their meals. Instead of ordering with a server by using one of our paper menus, customers will have the option to order on interactive touchscreens that will be located at a KIOSK at the front of the restaurant. This change is going to involve some shifting of the way that our staff operates, but I think the increase in customer satisfaction will prove its worth.

The change to using machines for ordering will involve retraining our waitstaff. This is a process we will start before the machines are in place. Our staff will adjust to changes.
