Chevra Lomdei Mishna Provides Invaluable Service to Thousands of Jews Worldwide
Chevra lomdei mishnah is the world’s premier organization dedicated to providing merit for the deceased through Mishnah study. Since its inception, members of Chevra lomdei mishnah have learned thousands of chapters of Mishnah and completed Shishah Sidrei Mishnah (Six Orders of the Mishnah) as a unit hundreds of times.
The Mishnah is the first major codification of the Jewish oral tradition. Edited by Rabbi Yehudah HaNasi (Judah the Prince) in the third century CE, the Mishnah consists of six volumes.
