Leading film Distribution Company of Caribbean-produced content, Spanglish Movies, sponsors the 7th Fine Arts International Film Festival for the third successive year

In line with the company’s goal of promoting new talents in the entertainment industry, particularly in the Caribbean, Spanglish Movies has again supported one of the most popular awards in the movie industry. The company has been described by many as “the largest and most influential film distribution company of Caribbean-produced content,” and recently sponsored the Carlos Madera Award for the Best Opera Prima for the third consecutive year.

This Award was carefully chosen to foster independent content creation and honor Carlos Madera, a staunch supporter of independent cinema in the Caribbean,” said Gustavo R. Aparicio, the CEO of Spanglish Movies.

The entertainment industry across the globe has witnessed a series of evolution over the years with stakeholders in different parts of the world, contributing their quota to ensure that fans get the best possible experience. The movie industry in the Caribbean has particularly come of age with notable figures helping to ensure that talents are well-developed and the world gets the best of creativity and ingenuity from the industry. One platform that has continued to support the development of the industry by providing a platform for actors, movie producers, and other major players in the industry to showcase their work to the world is the Fine Arts International Film Festival.

The 2019 edition of the event featured over 40 independent film productions. The festival has been supported by other major stakeholders in the industry, with Spanglish Movies being one of the major figures. The film production and distribution company has grown to become the backbone of the Spanish-spoken content production and distribution industry in the Caribbean.

The company sponsored the Carlos Madera Award for the Best Opera Prima for the third consecutive year. The winner of the category was “My Name is Gennet,” which was directed by Miguel Angel Tobias. The judges in the category include professors from University Ana G. Méndez @ Gurabo, Victor Manuel García and Pablo Impelluso. Professor Teresa Previdi from University Sagrado Corazón was also on the panel of judges.
